5 Tips To Help Your Home Sell
Real estate photography is a crucial part of selling your home. People who avoid using HD quality pictures in their listings usually don’t get as many buyers as homes with professional photographs. Good real estate photography allows potential buyers to visualize the home and make an instant decision about whether to take an interest. Here are a few quick tips to get your house photo-ready:
1. Declutter Spaces
Declutter all the cramped spaces so you can show off flooring and other home interiors. For example, remove smaller rugs to show off the bathroom tile, or hide smaller kitchen appliances in cabinets to open the room up. Clearing space makes your home appear bigger, which makes it more appealing to buyers.
2. Conceal All Wires and Cables
Nothing makes a house look unkempt like a bunch of wires and cables. This could happen from a bunch of electronic appliances or long cable lines for telephone and internet. Tidy up these wires and try to conceal as many as you can. You can use curtains, plants, and other furniture to hide them if they’re stuck in place.
3. Clear All Used Items
Your buyer wants to envision your house as theirs. You should remove all used items such as bathroom toiletries, used towels, cleaning sponges, etc., before your real estate photography session. It will help to make your house appear brand new and removes reminders of someone else living in it.
4. Remove All Evidence of Pets and Children
Your buyers come from different backgrounds and lifestyles. It is important to remove all evidence of your pets and children from the house, including toys, food bowls, beds, etc. Keep main spaces clear by tidying up all your child's toys and store them in the basement or garage.
5. Take Care of the Exterior
The exterior of the house is one of the most important features buyers notice. Add to the curb appeal to your home, remove any tools, trash cans, and vehicles from the driveway. Don’t forget to uncover your patio furniture, brush off the deck, and maybe add a planter for decor. This makes the exterior look open and fresh, and easy to inspect.
Bonus Tips: Depersonalize, and Don’t Forget to Make Your Bed!
You need to make all living spaces presentable. This includes putting away family photos, documents, fridge magnets, etc. to really win over the future homeowner. And don’t forget to make your bed! A nicely made bed with plump cushions and throw pillows reflects an organized and comfortable look of the room. Any buyer would be tempted to buy a house with comfy room setups.
Preparing your home for a real estate shoot can be tedious and time-consuming, but the benefits are worth the effort it takes. A well-presented home has a better chance of getting more buyers, better deals, and a quick sell-out.

How Drone Photography Can Help Sell Your Home
It’s no secret that ground-level shots are not always sufficient to capture the potential of a home. With drones, you can put an eye in the sky and catch that backyard swimming pool, architectural features, landscape, and more.
According to MLS statistics, the properties photographed by drones sold 68% faster. Additionally, 84% of home-sellers prefer to work with an agent using drones.
Drone photos are more likely to be shared on social media than simple shots from ground-level perspectives. Showing off neighborhood amenities and surrounding area highlights is a sure way to get more foot traffic.
